Summary
This own-initiative dossier concerns a European initiative for the development of micro-credit in support of growth and employment. The amendments discuss the definition of microcredit (a loan of EUR 25 000 or less), the range of providers including micro-finance institutions (MFIs) and credit unions, and an EU framework for providers with authorisation, registration and supervision.
