Road transport: framework for the deployment of intelligent transport systems and for interfaces with other transport modes

Directive establishing a framework for the deployment of intelligent transport systems in road transport and interfaces with other transport modes. Amendments define ITS and transport information systems and their users including vulnerable users, address interoperable EU-wide eCalls, multi-modal interoperability, satellite-based positioning and Dedicated Short Range Communication, specifications and minimum levels of applications, type-approval, liability and standards.
