Summary
A proposal on a European metrology research and development programme for 2009-2017 (EMRP). Amendments address establishing a dedicated implementation structure with legal personality responsible for managing the Community contribution, eligibility of the Commission's Joint Research Centre on the same conditions as National Metrology Institutes, an obligation to forward guidelines for a long-term policy of pooling European metrology potential, and the integration of national programmes of participating States into a single joint research programme.
