Summary
This dossier concerns equal treatment between men and women for self-employed workers and their assisting spouses or life partners. The amendments revise recitals and provisions on reviewing the earlier directive, maternity benefits and leave aligned with Directive 92/85/EEC, social protection on a mandatory or voluntary basis, allowance levels, protection against sex discrimination, and designation of equal-treatment bodies in Member States.
