2007/2053(DEC)·6th term·CONT·DEC - Discharge procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): MARTIN Hans-Peter (NA)
Summary

This procedure is the 2006 discharge for the Translation Centre for the bodies of the European Union (CdT), a decision on whether to approve how the Centre implemented its budget. The tabled amendments grant the Director discharge and approve the closure of the accounts, while calling for practical measures to achieve savings in administrative costs, questioning a rise in staff expenditure per post, and requesting that agencies be regularly audited by the Court of Auditors, that overestimated budgets face technical abatement based on vacant posts, and that the added value of each agency be studied and negative evaluations acted upon.
