Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): MORGAN Eluned (PSE)
Summary
The dossier concerns the internal market in electricity under the third energy package. Amendments define industrial sites, transport infrastructure sites and site networks and allow Member States to exempt them, address third-party and distribution-network access and small and medium-sized energy suppliers, and set rules on the independence of transmission system operators within vertically integrated undertakings, including limits on control, voting rights and appointments by persons active in generation or supply.
